Netflix has released a documentary on five-time F1 champion Juan Manuel Fangio, which showcases his career and life, with various inputs from several people.

Fangio is regarded as one of the greats of F1, having won five world championships in 1951, 1954, and the next three seasons through 1957, dominating that decade, and while he is third in terms of overall championship wins, his story is as fascinating as any other.

The five F1 championships came with multiple manufacturers, from Alfa Romeo to Maserati, Daimler Benz and Ferrari. In order to share this story Netflix recently released a documentary titled ‘A Life of Speed: The Juan Manuel Fangio Story’, which chronicles the Argentine driver’s incredible life.

It shows Fangio when he raced in the sport at its most dangerous period, and succeeded at it more than anybody else could. With a run time of 92 minutes, the film stars numerous people involved in F1, who discuss about the Italian legend.

It has Fernando Alonso, Alain Prost, Jackie Stewart, Mika Hakkenen, Toto Wolff, Nico Rosberg, Carlos Reutemann, and Hans Hermann, all speaking about Fangio. It not just shows his F1 laurels but his adventures in other streams of motorsport too.

The documentary is written by Luciano Origlio, and Rodrigo H. Vila in Italian, but Netflix provides subtitles for viewing in numerous languages. Script aside, the cinematography was done by director Francisco Macri.
