Mahindra Racing has got rap star Brodha V to create an anthem for the 2018/19 FIA Formula E Championship in a bid to increase its fan base.
Continuing with its trend to mix entertainment industry with Formula E, Mahindra has got Indian rap star Brodha V (original name Vighnesh Shivanand), to create an anthem for the 2019/20 season, named as ‘Whoa – The Passioneering Anthem’.
The video features Brodha V along with drivers Jerome D’Ambrosio, Pascal Wehrlein and Dilbagh Gill. Last year, Mahindra infused Bollywood with the help of actress Gul Panag as the Indian manufacturer released multiple videos for fans.
The team has multiple other fan engagement ideas on-going which has received good response. The rap song comes a race late as the 2019/20 Formula E season is already underway with the double-header in Ad Diriyah in Saudi Arabia.
Mahindra did not have a great weekend as they sit 10th in the teams’ standings with just the lone points finish. With a long break in between, racing action resumes this weekend in Santiago and will then move to Mexico City and Marrakesh by March.
