Another victory for the Monegasque Charles Leclerc in Austria. Nicholas Latifi was 2nd and Antonio Fuoco completed the podium.
De Vries stalled his car and had to start from the pit lane. Leclerc kept first place ahead of Fuoco and Albon, while Rowland had a bad start and was overtaken by Latifi. Nato‘s car stopped on lap 6.
Markelov went from P11 to P5 in two laps. The pitstops started right after with Latifi and Canamasas. Ghiotto and Rowland pitted one lap later, but Ghiotto stalled and lost a lot of time. Some laps later, Rowland, who was the fastest driver on track, overtook his teammate Latifi. Leclerc, Fuoco, Albon, Matsushita, Markelov, Sette-Câmara and Marciello stayed on track.
Fuoco came out behind Rowland after his pit stop, while Leclerc stayed ahead. Fuoco managed to overtake Rowland thanks to newer tyres. With 5 laps to go, Latifi stole the podium from Rowland on the outside and did the same thing with Fuoco one lap later. He was unable to catch Leclerc, who took his 4th win of the season. Latifi finished one second behind Leclerc. Fuoco held up Rowland‘s attacks for P3. Albon, Matsushita, Boschung, Markelov, King and Gelael completed the top 10.
