Sebastian Vettel continues dominating completely the sessions played at Buddh Circuit in India. In a circuit made for him, the German has taken half a second ahead of his teammate Mark Webber during the third free practice. Behind the Red Bull, only two drivers have finished in less than a second of Vettel, Fernando Alonso and Nico Hulkenberg.
Everything started with delays in India . The medical helicopter could not take off due to the thick fog of dust that was on the circuit. This meant that the session was delayed more than 20 minutes, and the drivers could only use 40 minutes.
With the green light, track activity has been very high from the very beginning. The first fifteen minutes all drivers were out with the harder compound, Mark Webber, both Ferrari and Sergio Perez have been faster, but some drivers like Vettel or the Lotus without having made times yet. Moments later, Sebastian Vettel returned to his first position with 1:25.332, removing a second and a half to Alonso with the soft compound.
With Vettel already doing long runs, most came to their flying lap. Fernando Alonso placed himself third to seven tenths of the German Nico Hulkenberg and behind the Sauber again. Behind them Grosjean, Massa, Di Resta, Rosberg , Button and Hamilton closed the top ten. Raikkonen finished very discreet outside the top ten, as the two Williams, the two Toro Rosso, Adrian Sutil and Sergio Perez. The fight between the teams at the back of the grid was clearly in favor of Caterham, with Charles Pic who have overcome even a Sauber. While Chilton and Bianchi have finished half a second behind Van der Garde.
