The Red Bull Racing driver, Max Verstappen has said that the team this week is focusing on mileage and not speed, after his first day with the RB13 at circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The Dutch, who finished third today, is happy with the run they had, after the issues Red Bull suffered yesterday:

“For us, at the moment, it’s not about showing how quick we can be. It’s the first test week, and the second test day, so I think it’s much more important to get the mileage and check that all the parts are OK, and then we’ll see in the next few days how fast we are.”

He is only looking at his team and not the others. As everyone is saying these days, people don’t see where the others are:

“It’s too early to really compare. They do their programme, we do our programme, and we’ll see later in the test how good they are.

“We’re not focused on times, it’s way too early; everybody is doing their own programmes and you don’t really know where you are, but we can be happy with the day.”
“You can expect to have some little issues, because it was basically a shakedown, and I had no kilometres [in the RB13] before, but today was very positive.”
