The grid for the NASCAR Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway is now set. Tyler Reddick, who finished 31st in practice and expected little in the way of pole position, surprised everyone with a time of 29.054 seconds during qualifying.

Reddick expressed his frustration after the practice: ‘I was really unhappy; I don’t remember ever complaining this much in a practice’. However, he noted that his team had found solutions before Sunday’s race and that he was pleased with how that translated into the qualifying.

The 23XI Racing driver acknowledged that his goal was to avoid repeating the negative experience from Richmond, where he started from the back. ‘We need to commit and finish well in qualifying. Even though we didn’t have a good practice, this is a great way to turn the situation around’, he commented.

Alongside Reddick in the front row will be Josh Berry, who missed his first pole by just 0.015 seconds. The Wood Brothers Racing driver is hopeful of securing a contract for next season, and performances like this help his cause.

‘Statistically, this is a track that I’ve done very well on’, said Berry, who finished second in this same race last year. ‘I have a feeling we have a good car, and we need to maintain our position throughout the race’.

The William Byron driver will start in third position, followed by Denny Hamlin and Shane van Gisbergen, who finished fifth despite some struggles with his car’s start.

The qualifying was completed with standout drivers like Christopher Bell, Ty Gibbs, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, and Alex Bowman, who occupied the top ten positions. Other familiar names, such as Chase Briscoe (17th), Joey Logano (21st), and Chase Elliott (29th), will find themselves further back in the grid.

The Daniel Suarez driver, who almost had an accident during his qualifying lap, will start in 35th position.
