Yuki Tsunoda don’t think Visa Cash App RB will have complete performance as they had in first half of F1 2024 to start the 2025 season.
Out of all the teams, Visa Cash App RB were the ones to be on the backfoot in terms of performance after the three days in pre-season test in Bahrain. Both Tsunoda and Isack Hadjar admitted that they weren’t 100% sure on how their car is to perform at the start of F1 2025.
Last year, the team started off well but dropped down the order as the season progressed. But the expected performance to start 2025 is not high. The team has opened up a base in the UK to align itself better with Red Bull but it hasn’t gotten off to the best of starts if pre-season test is to be taken accord.
But Tsunoda hopes they can chip in the midfield battle. “I think I was quite surprised, yeah, productive days, I guess,” he said to media. “We got a bit bumpy and things didn’t really go in the way that we wanted sometimes, but that’s what the test is for, and I think it’s good to have those issues, to prevent those issues in the future. I’m pretty happy with the last three days, and looking forward for the season.
“I wouldn’t say I think we are going to have complete performance as much as I had first half of the season last year. So I think it will be a little bit trickier to fight the top 10, to score points it will be very, very tight. Still, there’s a bit of a step forward, but not enough compared to what we want so far,” summed up Tsunoda.
