Toro Rosso was making a filming day at the Misano Marco Simoncelli Circuit in Italy when a picture of its new STR-13 has somehow ended up uploaded on the social media.

On a first sight, the car looked almost identical to 2017’s as for the colours. Obviously, the shark fin is not there and the halo, the new safety device that the FIA is putting on the series, is on the car.
Due to this leaked picture, the Faenza-based team, whose official unveiling act was scheduled for the 26th of February, has decided to publicly and officially release pictures of the STR-13 with which Brendon Hartley and Pierre Gasly will do the 2018 season.
Why settle for a leaked photo, when you can have an original 🤔 #STR13 pic.twitter.com/yrD8L1REP9

The Italian team has also released a short video on which the sound the car does with the new Honda engine, which caused lots of failures and disastrous results in McLaren during the last three seasons; can be heard.
Taking a look at the official photo, it is clear that there are no remarkable changes on the livery and the team stays with the 2017 colour pattern. As for the technical aspects, there are not also important changes, and it is the second car on which aerodynamical elements can be seen on the halo.
Despite the car is already been shown, the team has said nothing about the official presentation act it had scheduled for the next Monday, so it is expected that the team has not changed the decision of physically showing the car at the Barcelona Catalunya Circuit.
The 2018 Formula 1 pre season will begin the same day when Toro Rosso had planned to unveil the car, the 26th of May. There, the team led by Franz Tost will complete its first official testing (Today they were doing a private filming day with Hartley driving) with the Honda engine. The season will start the 25th of March with the Australian GP.
