The next rookie test of Formula E will take place tomorrow at the Jarama circuit and will feature some of the best emerging drivers. This edition will gather prominent talents from the monoplace world, aiming to explore new prospects for the championship.

Porsche has chosen Elia Weiss, a driver of only 16 years, for the second consecutive year. Weiss, who participated in the 2025 Berlin test as a rookie, has gained a year of experience in Formula 4, starting his 2026 season with a 16th place at UAE4 and a best finish of fourth.

For its part, Jaguar has stated that Bryce Aron, a driver aspiring to race in IndyCar, will be part of the team. Aron has had a challenging start to the 2026 Indy Nxt season with his Chip Ganassi Racing team, finishing ninth in the 2024 championship after achieving two podiums, before falling to 11th in 2025 with only one race in the top five.

DS Penske has selected its development driver Nikita Bedrin, who has made the leap from FIA F3 to GB3, while Andretti Global alongside Freddie Slater, champion of the Formula Regional Europe, will also test Callum Voisin, after two seasons of competition in FIA F3.

Ella Lloyd, from McLaren’s program, currently sixth in the F1 Academy, will test with Envision Racing. Lloyd previously participated with McLaren’s Formula E team during the 2024-25 pre-season sessions.

Bianca Bustamante, initially chosen by McLaren for the 2024 women’s test, is now part of the Cupra Kiro team as a development driver. Cian Shields, current F2 driver and Bustamante’s teammate for the tests, will also compete.

Hugh Barter, who participated in the 2023 rookie test with Maserati, returns to action with the Lola Yamaha. Richard Verschoor, who finished third in F2 last year, will sit in the second Lola Yamaha car for the test.

Finally, Joshua Duerksen, who will debut in the test as a driver for the newcomer Citroen, has begun his third year in F2 with a standout victory.
