The Toyota #7 won the Bahrain 6h after winning a race that seemed to have a clear winner, the Toyota # 8 suffered problems in the alternator. After the Toyota #7 have finished the two Porsche, #14 and #20.
After a fantastic start of the Porsche where they placed first and second, both Toyota began to ascend, overtaking the Porsche # 20. Behind them the two Audi.
In LMP2 Ligier touch between G-Drive and one of the Oreca. The first had problems and went into the pits.
The Lotus P1 / 01 stood after 3 minutes of the start.
In front of the race the #8 Toyota tried to overtake the Porsche # 14 who fought back and held the position.
Finally a lap later the Toyota #8 managed to overtake Porsche and he placed as the new leader.
While at GTE Pro pilots head went ahead almost every curve with constant lead changes.
After half an hour of the race, came the first Full Course Yellow, all the cars limited to 80km / h, and many cars took to pit.
The #37 Oreca KCMG touched in the straight with the Toyota #7 and fell off the entire front.
Passed one hour of the race, issues for Aston Martin #99 who went out of the pit lane just stood and when he tried again was running out power.
The Audi began to run backward demonstrating that they are not up to the Porsche and Toyota who were dominating the race.
With just over 4 hours to go, alternator problems on Toyota #8 who lost a lot of time in the pit ceding leadership to Toyota # 7.
The #14 Porsche was going to a different strategy to the rest after the last stop, rolling quarter and had just ahead of the Audi #2. Finally the Porsche advanced the Audi and he went to third place.
Passed the half of the race, Toyota continued to lead followed by both Porsche and both Audi. In leading of the LMP2 was Oreca of KCMG and in GTE Aston Martin #97.
A just over two hours to end the Ferrari #90 was closed when the Aston Martin #95 attempted to overtake him. They touched and the Ferrari spun.
Failing an hour to go, the race was almost sentenced in all categories. In LMP1 Toyota #7 had the first position with more than 40 seconds ahead like the Oreca of KCMG in LMP2. In GTE the Ferrari #51 was leading.
With just over 40 minutes left there was a touch between Audi # 1 and one of the Oreca SMP who spun and hit the other SMP.
Finally, Toyota #7 took the win followed by the two Porsche, #14 and #20 and the two Audi #2 and #1.
In LMP2 victory for the Oreca of KCMG and in GTE victory for Ferrari #51 followed by the Aston Martin #97 and Ferrari #71.
The Toyota #8 has won the drivers’ championship despite the bad result of today.
