This weekend at the Bristol Motor Speedway, driver Frankie Muniz will have a very special sponsor on his truck number 33 from the Team Reaume team.
The new series titled Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair will premiere on the same day as the race, and Muniz, who gained notoriety with his role in the original series 26 years ago, will be promoting the show during the competition.
After more than two decades, the revival of Malcolm in the Middle will once again bring the iconic characters from the original series to the screen. Muniz, who recently achieved a podium in the GT4 America race in Sonoma, is competing full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he currently sits in 22nd place in the championship standings.
Muniz shared his excitement on social media, stating: “On Friday, April 10, the Malcolm family explodes again on Hulu and Disney+ with Life’s Still Unfair, and on the same day, I’m getting into the Malcolm in the Middle truck at Bristol Motor Speedway! My childhood. My chaos. My life as a driver. All colliding at over 150 mph on one of the craziest tracks on the planet. It’s not just a crossover, it’s two completely different chapters of my life meeting face to face in an insane way.”
Muniz ends his message with a touch of humor, mentioning that in the show ”Dewey would go crazy. Lois would scream. Hal would already be on fire. This is a tribute to all the fans who grew up with Malcolm and to everyone who has seen me chase this racing dream.”
