It is a category where the car models will be Teslas, nicknamed by the same Electric GT as Model S P100D. The category received the approval of the FIA ​​after spending this week the compulsory crash test for all cars.

The regulation of this new championship was also revealed in these past days. The competition weekends will have three training sessions and two 37-mile races during the day and night, which are almost 60km. The power in the race will be a maximum of 585KW.

The first two of the race plus two other drivers who will vote the fans, will face a challenge that will award 3 additional points to the winner.

The CEO of Electric GT Mark Gemmell was satisfied with the approval of the FIA: “This is a very exciting day for us, as we confirm that the Electric Production Automobile Series has been officially approved by the FIA. count on your support before our inaugural season”, Mark said.

Mark Gemmell also announced that they will be linked to the eSports races and the electric kart championship: “With a classification system of three workouts and two EPCS races, in addition to our eKarting and eSports rounds, fans will have many races to get excited about”.

For the moment, the only team that has confirmed a place for this inaugural season is SPV Racing, which currently runs in LMP3.
