The Ferrari Driver Academy unveils new drivers for 2027

The Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy has revealed the names of its new drivers for the 2027 season, among which highlights the addition of Salim Hanna, Alp Aksoy, and young karting talent Daniel Miron. Additionally, Campos Racing has confirmed that Hanna will join the team to make the jump to FIA Formula 3.

Salim Hanna, who is a protégé of Juan Pablo Montoya, arrives in the new category after finishing seventh in the Formula Regional Europe, with a victory in the inverted grid race at Imola. Most of his career has taken place in Formula 4 and FREC with Prema, but he shone in a brief appearance in British F4 in 2025, where he achieved three victories in five races.

Hanna expressed his satisfaction about joining Campos, saying: “I am very happy and grateful to be part of this incredible team and family. From day one, I felt comfortable and welcomed, and I hope to learn and improve every day. I know we have a strong team, and I hope we can fight at the front and accomplish great things together next year!”

In FIA F3, Hanna will share the garage with Niccolo Maccagnani, who has quickly progressed since his debut in F4 at the end of 2025. Maccagnani has won two races in the Italian series this year and occupied a vacant seat at Rodin Motorsport for the final race in Madrid. The team he will compete with soon has not yet been confirmed.

Alp Aksoy and Daniel Miron join the academy

The second new member of the Ferrari program is Turkish driver Alp Aksoy, who will move to FREC in 2027. Aksoy has stood out in his debut season in single-seaters, with two victories in the Italian F4 series and finished second in the championship, being the best driver of Prema.

Although the Catalan team has not yet been revealed, he participated in the post-season tests with Prema and is expected to be a driver for the organization for the new season. On the other hand, Daniel Miron, a young talent at just 13 years old, will move to the OK category after an impressive season in OK-Juniors, where he finished second in the FIA European Championship.

Notable driver movements

Two Ferrari faces for the 2026 season, Filippo Sala and Noah Baglin, will also make the jump to single-seaters in 2027. In this case, they will compete in the F4 series in Spain, instead of the Italian series like their predecessors. Baglin has had a spectacular season in OK, winning the FIA European Championship and the Champions of the Future, in addition to being the world champion of the OK-J category in 2025.

Sala, for his part, has already had a first taste of F4, with an impressive debut in the last round of the E4 championship in Monza. Additionally, Tuukka Taponen will move to Formula 2 with ART Grand Prix after finishing third in the F3 championship for MP Motorsport.

The only driver not making the jump to a higher category is Alba Larsen from the F1 Academy, who, despite being part of the Ferrari program since 2026, has shown continuous growth, achieving two podiums in Zandvoort in her second season in F1A.

Meanwhile, Rafael Camara and Dino Beganovic will leave the academy, with Camara graduating to Formula 1 with Haas and Beganovic assuming the role of development and reserve driver for Ferrari, sharing duties with Antonio Giovinazzi.
