The 20th season by WSK Promotion has kicked off in La Conca
Several novelties among the teams and drivers at the start of the 20th year of WSK Promotion’s activity that will kick off with the opening round of the WSK Super Master Series from January 22nd to 26th, 2025 in La Conca.

The 20th season of WSK Promotion kicked off at the International Circuit La Conca with a large turnout for the first round of the 16th WSK Super Master Series, scheduled from January 22nd to 26th, featuring approximately 240 drivers from all over the world, already on track in the MINI, OK, OKJ, OKNJ, and KZ2 categories for the first challenge of the international karting year.
The first champions since 2006.
Back in 2006, the year that marked the beginning of WSK Promotion’s activity at La Conca, many drivers stood out before climbing up the ladder up to Formula 1, such as the Finnish Valtteri Bottas, winner that year in the then 100 Formula A, the late Jules Bianchi, winner in the 125 ICC, the British Will Stevens, winner in the 100 ICA Junior, and the Spaniard Roberto Merhi on the podium of the 100 ICA behind his compatriot Miquel Julia Perello. Today, the Formula 1 grid is composed of many other drivers who grew up in the WSK series, a total of 15 out of 20 starters: Alexander Albon, Oliver Bearman, Pierre Gasly, Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, George Russell, Carlos Sainz, Lance Stroll, Max Verstappen, and the new entries Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Gabriel Bortoleto, Jack Doohan, and Isack Hadjar. A result that gives further prestige to the entire organization and the activities of WSK Promotion for the many young talents hosted in the 20 years of WSK-branded races.
Many new faces on the grid at La Conca.
In the first round of 2025, there are many new developments among the teams, with many drivers competing in higher categories and also many changes of jerseys. For example, among the young drivers of the MINI category, the multiple champion of the WSK Series Under 10, the young Italian Niccolò Perico, has moved up to the Gr.3 category with Team Driver, or the Estonian Mark Loomets now with MP Academy Gamoto. In the crowded OKJ category, there are many new entries from the MINI, as well as in the OK category where the home driver Luigi Coluccio returns from GT racing, competing with Ward Racing. In OKNJ, there is also a change of colours for the other Italian driver Cristian Blandino, winner of the MINI in the WSK Champions Cup, now competing in the higher category with GSR Team, while in KZ2 Giuseppe Palomba, always a protagonist in WSK races, will be at the start with his new team Maranello Kart. But these are just a few of the novelties that characterize this edition of the WSK Super Master Series and the 2025 season.
The program of the weekend.
Following the recent Official Collective Tests, the program at La Conca includes free practice sessions for Wednesday, January 22nd, and Thursday, January 23rd. Starting Friday, January 24th, there will be timed practice, heats, and finally the final phase on Sunday, January 26th.

A La Conca è iniziata la stagione n° 20 targata WSK Promotion
Molte novità fra i team e i piloti al via del 20° anno di WSK Promotion, in gara per la prima prova della WSK Super Master Series dal 22 al 26 gennaio 2025 a La Conca.

L’inaugurazione della stagione numero 20 di WSK Promotion al Circuito Internazionale La Conca è stata onorata da un gran numero di iscritti per la prima prova della WSK Super Masters Series, giunta alla 16ma edizione, in programma dal 22 al 26 gennaio con circa 240 piloti provenienti da tutto il mondo, già in pista nelle categorie MINI, OK, OKJ, OKNJ e KZ2 per la prima sfida dell’anno del karting internazionale.
I primi campioni fin dal 2006.
Già nel 2006, nell’anno che da La Conca iniziò l’ascesa di WSK Promotion, sono stati molti piloti in evidenza che poi raggiunsero la Formula 1, come il finlandese Valtteri Bottas vincitore in quel primo anno nell’allora 100 Formula A, il compianto Jules Bianchi vincitore nella 125 ICC, il britannico Will Stevens vincitore nella 100 ICA Junior, lo spagnolo Roberto Merhi sul podio della 100 ICA alle spalle del suo connazionale Miquel Julia Perello. Oggi la griglia della Formula 1 è composta da tanti altri piloti cresciuti nelle serie WSK, ben 15 sui 20 partenti: Alexander Albon, Oliver Bearman, Pierre Gasly, Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, George Russell, Carlos Sainz, Lance Stroll, Max Verstappen, e le new entry Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Gabriel Bortoleto, Jack Doohan e Isack Hadjar. Un risultato che regala ulteriore prestigio a tutta l’organizzazione e l’attività di WSK Promotion per i tanti giovani talenti ospitati nei 20 anni di gare targate WSK.
Al via da La Conca tante novità fra i piloti.
Nella prima prova del 2025 sono molte le novità fra i team, con molti piloti impegnati nelle categorie superiori e anche tanti cambi di “casacche”. Come fra i giovanissimi della MINI, il pluricampione delle Series WSK Under 10, il giovane italiano Niccolò Perico, passato nella categoria Gr.3 con il Team Driver, o l’estone Mark Loomets ora con MP Academy Gamoto. Nell’affollatissima OKJ sono tante le new entry provenienti dalla MINI, così come nella OK che torna ad ospitare il pilota di casa Luigi Coluccio al rientro dalle auto in GT, in gara con Ward Racing. In OKNJ cambio di colori anche per l’altro italiano Cristian Blandino, vincitore della MINI nella WSK Champions Cup, ora in gara nella categoria superiore con GSR Team, mentre in KZ2 Giuseppe Palomba, sempre protagonista nelle gare WSK, sarà al via con il suo nuovo team Maranello Kart. Ma queste sono solamente alcune fra le novità che contribuiscono a caratterizzare questa edizione della WSK Super Master Series e la stagione 2025.

Dopo i recenti Test Collettivi Ufficiali, il programma a La Conca prevede prove libere per mercoledì 22 e giovedì 23 gennaio. Da venerdì 24 gennaio il via alle prove cronometrate, le manches, e infine la fase finale di domenica 26 gennaio.
