Monza, Italy — Tecnicar by AMTOG completed a strong weekend in the fourth round of the 2026 Eurocup-3 season at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. The team returned to the podium thanks to Kacper Sztuka’s spectacular comeback drive to third place in Sunday’s race, in a meeting where the team once again demonstrated the pace to fight at the front and strengthened its fifth position in the Teams’ Championship.
Monza, one of the most unique circuits on the calendar due to the importance of slipstreaming and strategy, produced a weekend shaped by small details that ultimately had a major impact on the final results. Even so, Tecnicar by AMTOG once again established itself among the most competitive teams in the category.
A promising Friday
The weekend got off to a positive start for the team. Both Kacper Sztuka and Andrej Petrović remained close to the top ten throughout the free practice sessions, while Benjamin Beckley continued to show steady progress and closed the gap to the frontrunners.
The second practice session ended prematurely for Sztuka after his car’s fire extinguisher system was accidentally triggered by gravel thrown up by another car exiting Lesmo 2, bringing out a red flag.
Qualifying hampered by traffic
The first qualifying session delivered a result well below the team’s true potential. Sztuka and Petrović both crossed the line before the chequered flag to begin one final slipstream-assisted lap, a crucial opportunity around Monza. However, both drivers encountered traffic in the opening sector, ruining what looked set to be a lap capable of placing them among the front runners. Sztuka eventually qualified 13th, Petrović 14th and Beckley 28th.
Race 1: Misfortune for Sztuka as Petrović narrowly misses the points
The opening race got off to the worst possible start for Kacper Sztuka. During the formation lap, a suspension component issue forced the Polish driver back into the pits. The team managed to repair the car, allowing him to rejoin the race, although he was only able to complete a handful of laps to confirm everything was working correctly.
Meanwhile, Andrej Petrović once again demonstrated excellent race pace. The Serbian driver crossed the finish line in tenth position, initially scoring a championship point, but a post-race penalty ultimately dropped him out of the points.
Benjamin Beckley completed a difficult race after running wide twice at Lesmo 1 while battling in a tightly packed group, eventually finishing 23rd.
Race 2: A spectacular comeback returns Tecnicar by AMTOG to the podium
The second qualifying session also failed to reflect the team’s true pace. A red flag disrupted the planned strategy, leaving Sztuka 13th, Petrović 21st and Beckley 25th on the starting grid.
But Sunday told a completely different story.
Kacper Sztuka produced one of the standout comeback drives of the weekend. Starting from 13th on the grid, he worked his way through the field almost lap after lap, showing outstanding pace and making the most of every opportunity Monza had to offer. After several decisive overtakes in the closing laps, he crossed the finish line in fourth place. A penalty for one of the drivers ahead later promoted him to third, securing another podium finish for Tecnicar by AMTOG.
Andrej Petrović was also enjoying a highly competitive race and was running inside the points when he suffered another unusual and unfortunate incident. Gravel thrown up by the car ahead accidentally activated his onboard fire extinguisher system, forcing him to stop and ending any chance of converting his pace into a strong result.
Benjamin Beckley completed his best weekend since joining the team. The Costa Rican driver showed impressive pace throughout the race to finish 13th, his best result to date in Eurocup-3 and another clear sign of his progress during the season.
A project that continues to grow
With another podium finish, Tecnicar by AMTOG continues to establish itself as one of the category’s most competitive teams in its first full Eurocup-3 season. Following the Monza round, the team remains firmly in fifth place in the Teams’ Championship, extending its advantage over the sixth-placed team. In the Drivers’ Championship, Kacper Sztuka sits seventh with 62 points, tied with Alex Powell and fully in contention for a top-five finish in the overall standings.
Beyond the results, Monza once again highlighted the team’s development. The pace shown throughout the weekend, the ability to recover from difficult situations and fight back onto the podium, and the performances of all three drivers confirm that Tecnicar by AMTOG continues to make significant progress and has established itself as a team capable of regularly fighting for top positions in Eurocup-3.
