Valencia, Spain — Tecnicar by AMTOG will join the 2027 Eurocup-5 Championship, becoming one of the eight teams selected for the series’ inaugural season. The new championship, launched by the Royal Spanish Motorsport Federation (RFEDA) and EPIC Championships, will become the first step on Spain’s single-seater ladder.

The new programme represents another milestone in Tecnicar by AMTOG’s continued growth in single-seater racing. After establishing programmes in both F4 Spain and Eurocup-3, the team will now expand its driver development structure with the addition of Eurocup-5.

Designed for drivers making the transition from karting, Eurocup-5 will provide a competitive and cost-controlled environment for the next generation of racing talent. The championship will feature eight teams and a full grid of 30 cars from its first season.

The inaugural calendar will include five events at MotorLand Aragón, Portimão, Jerez, Navarra and Barcelona-Catalunya, together with five official pre-season test days. The series will use the new ADESS AD27 chassis, built specifically to prepare young drivers for the move into Formula 4.

With the addition of Eurocup-5, Tecnicar by AMTOG now offers a complete development pathway through the early stages of single-seater racing. The team will compete across Eurocup-5, F4 Spain and Eurocup-3, allowing young drivers to progress within the same structure as they move up the motorsport ladder.

“We’re delighted to become part of Eurocup-5 from its very first season. It is an exciting new championship and a great opportunity to work with young drivers from the beginning of their single-seater careers. Expanding into Eurocup-5 fits perfectly with our long-term vision, and we’re looking forward to helping develop the next generation of racing talent.”
