The 22-year-old Columbian driver will make her debuts in GP3 Series with Arden International.

Tatiana Calderon spent the last three seasons in the FIA European Formula 3 championship in three different teams. Her best season was in 2014 with Jo Zeller Racing finishing 15th overall with a best result of 5th place at Spa-Francorchamps. Despite a more difficult 2015 year with no point scored with Carlin, she made history by being the first female racer to lead a European Formula 3 race, again at Spa-Francorchamps.

More recently, she took part in the MRF Challenge and finished second of the championship, gaining her first victory in single-seaters in Dubai.

After testing with several teams in GP3 Series and Formula V8 3.5, she finally chose to race with Arden International for the 2016 GP3 season:

I´m really excited to be joining Arden for the 2016 GP3championship! It’s another step forward in my career. I know it’s going to be a challenging first year in the series but I know I´m in the right place surrounded by the right people to learn and make the most out of this amazing opportunity.”

Julian Rouse, Arden International team manager comments:

It’s great to have Tatiana racing with us this season, she participated in the GP3 tests in Abu Dhabi and seemed to adapt to the GP3 car really well and set some very competitive lap times on performance runs and coming off the back of a strong run to 2nd place in the MRF series over the winter I’m sure her confidence will be high and it will be good to try and keep that momentum going.

Calderon will join her fellow Formula 3 driver Jake Dennis and Jack Aitken in the Banbury based team.
