Guenther Steiner has decided to take Haas F1 Team to court after unpaid dues from 2021 until 2023 for using his name even now.
While the professional partnership between Steiner and Haas ended at the end of F1 2023, a rivalry of sorts has begun after the Italian filed a case against his former team for unpaid dues and royalties for using his name – and continuing now even.
Steiner filed a case at North Carolina court for dues between 2021 and 2023 where they have listed the amount along with details but the documents have hidden the exact figure which the Italian wants from Haas for this period of time.
The argument is for some of the dues which includes some of his salary too. In addition to that, they also not about Haas using his name without authorisation whether for marketing activities and or using his popularity from Netflix’s Drive to Survive show.
They feel that the popularity of Steiner proved to be a good advertisement and marketing of Haas, which includes selling of merchandise and undertaking promotional activities without his permission at this time when he is no longer part of the F1 team.
