Stanaway, Fong, Tuscher, Varhaug, Mason and Jordá confirmed for 2014 GP3

Yesterday, after the first test day in Montmeló, the GP3 drivers took the official presentation photo for this GP3 season. This way, we were able to find out which were the drivers that were left for confirmation.

Richie Stanaway, from Gravity driving school, will compete for a whole GP3 season for the first time in the Status GP team, after suffering an injury in 2012 and spending a season in Porsche Supercup. The driver from New Zealand drove for Lotus ART in 2011 achieving good results, specially in Spa-Francorchamps.

In Jenzer team we had a three in-a-row confirmation with Fong, Tuscher and Varhaug. Fong repeats for this season, as Tuscher was in Formula Renault 2.0 last year and Varhaug was driving in GP2 for DAMS in 2011 and Hilmer Motorsport in 2013, with not specially impressive results.

In the other hand, Hilmer Motorsport took Taranov and Nelson Mason. The third driver is not confirmed yet, and the team may only compete with two cars during this new season, as they have been doing for the tests.

Finally, it seems like Carmen Jordá will stay for another year in GP3, despite have suffered an injury recently. The driver from Valencia drove for Bamboo and Ocean Racing last seasons, but with not impressive results.
