Marco Sørensen takes again the pole position in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series at the circuit of Red Bull Ring in Spielberg. But who really made the pole was Nigel Melker, but the Dutch driver was under investigation and finally the stewards decide to delete the best lap for the Tech 1 Racing driver, finally Melker was second.
Melker was dominated all the session jointly with Sergey Sirotkin (ISR) who finished in P10. The championship leader, Kevin Magnussen (DAMS) will start third in the second race and Stoffel Vandoorne fourth.
Top 10: Sørensen, Melker, Magnussen, Vandoorne, Stevens, Nato, Pic, Da Costa, Buller, Sirotkin.
