Marco Sorensen was made his first pole position ever in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series at the circuit of Red Bull Ring in Austria. Following the danish, in the second position are an another danish, Kevin Magnussen, who have a good oportunity to cut some points respect Stoffel Vandoorne who will start in P6.
Third was for Nigel Melker, followed by Will Stevens and Arthur Pic, Da Costa finished in the position number 7, and the russian Sirotkin, 11th.
