Named by Lewis Hamilton “the worst corner of Formula 1”, the polemic corner number 10 of Singapore may be removed and become a left hand turn, says F1Racing magazine. The slow and difficult corner was a challenge for drivers, in part because of the high kerbs, that could pull the car to the wall if the driver made a mistake. Certainly, there is a lot of space to make a much more faster corner, that could remember to Tabac, in Monaco, but we do not know if the new corner would use all the street or it would be similar to others corners in the circuit, slower but having run-off area.
This change could increase a bit the average speed of the lap, that is now the second slowest of the championship (only Monaco is slower).
Singapore Grand Prix will take place from 20-22 September, so we expect more news to follow soon.
