The day prior to Silverstone private testing, the official line-up has been announced by the teams taking part.

Let’s first note that Sauber would not take part into the testing days for financial reasons. Let’s also remind that one young driver must drive for at least one day per team.

For Mercedes, reserve driver Esteban Ocon will drive on Tuesday and Pascal Wehrlein will drive on Wednesday but is only allowed to drive the 2014 car.

The good feed-back brought by Haas F1 team after Charles Leclerc’s FP1 encouraged Ferrari to take him to test the Ferrari on Tuesday before Kimi Raikkonen. The American squad will offer his F1 debuts to Santino Ferrucci, running during both days.

At Red Bull Racing, Pierre Gasly will drive during both days, opening a door to other members of the Red Bull Junior Team at Toro Rosso. Therefore, Formula 3 driver Sergio Sette Camara will make his F1 debuts, taking over Carlos Sainz Jr on Wednesday.

Another Formula 3 driver will make his F1 debuts in these tests as Nikita Mazepin will run during both days with Force India. Unsurprisingly, McLaren will have Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne running.

With Pierre Gasly, three other GP2 drivers will drive during the tests. Alex Lynn will run with Williams taking over Valtteri Bottas, Sergey Sirotkin will run with Renault before Jolyon Palmer and Jordan King will run with Manor after Rio Haryanto.
