Robert Shwartzman has set the fastest time in the second practice session of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup at Le Castellet in France. The Russian has imposed his pace ahead of the championship leader, Sacha Fenestraz and Max Defourny.
The second session started like the first, with the R-ace GP drivers on top with Max Defourny in the first position followed by Robert Shwartzman and Will Palmer.
Shwartzman would take the lead midway through ahead of Defourny, meanwhile, Red Bull’s youngster Richard Verschoor (MP Motorsport) was in third place.
The lap-times would not improve until the final 10 minutes in which they confirmed Shwartzman in the first position with a time of 2:04.600. The Russian was a tenth faster than Sacha Fenestraz (Josef Kaufmann Racing) and Deforuny. Palmer finished 7 tenths off, while Alexander Vartanyan (JD Motorsport) completed the top five.
