Robert Shwartzman was fastest in the one-day FIA WEC Rookie Test at Bahrain International Circuit, as Valentino Rossi gets a go.
Robert Shwartzman clocked the fastest time in this afternoon’s FIA WEC rookie test with a time of 1m48.559s in the Ferrari 499P Hypercar. Norman Nato was second quickest in the Hertz JOTA Porsche, 0.571s faster than Rene Binder in the privately run Porsche run by Proton Competition.
Out of the LMP2 cars, it was Team WRT and Charles Weerts that was quickest with a time of 1:54.317. Second fastest was F2 driver Clement Novolak in the inter Europol Competition run Oreca 07 Gibson and third was PJ Hyett with Prema Racing.
In LMGTE Am, Lorenzo Patrese topped the times in the Richard Mille AF Corse Ferrari pipping fellow Italian Nicola Marinangeli by just over 1.3s. Seven-time MotoGP Valentino Rossi made his LMP2 debut with Team WRT during this morning’s session.
