Sunday morning race took place on an even worse Hungaroring in terms of temperature, and an early start was eventually really appreciated by the teams.

Kevin Korjus was the leading driver for Koiranen GP as the Estonian driver was starting front row in second    position. Aaro Vainio, due to reverse grid, was starting P8 after his lights to flag victory and Patrick Kujala was starting P14, gaining one position due to Patric Niederhauser Race 1 penalty.

At the green light, Kevin Korjus was passed by ex-Koiranen GP driver Carlos Sainz and dropped P3, Aaro Vainio had a very bad start and was P11 at the end of the first corners while Patrick Kujala went for an impressive start, jumping P10, overtaking his Finnish teammate.

But Aaro Vainio fought to gain back his lost positions, however, he couldn’t score any points as he ended the race P9.

Patrick Kujala had a very good pace this weekend and showed it one more time, finishing at a brilliant P11 position, the best result so far this season.

The Estonian Kevin Korjus, could not manage to overtake Carlos Sainz on the twisty hungarian track and was P3 at the chequered flag, two hundredth from signing the Best Lap of the Race.

Seventh podium for Koiranen GP team, which recorded its maiden Saturday win, with the maximum scored points thanks to Aaro Vainio’s Pole Position and Best Lap in race.

Aaro Vainio and Kevin Korjus are back in the top of the classification with 75 points each, 16 points from the lead.

Next event will be held in Spa-Francorchamps on 24-25 August, but before that, the team is off for the three weeks well-deserved summer break.
