Sebastian Vettel has still dominated the third free practice session of the Italian GP, at Monza.
However, Fernando Alonso has finished quite nearer as expected of the German driver and his Red Bull, only 2 tenths and a half behind of the best time set by Vettel. Remember that yesterday Vettel was more than 6 tenths ahead of the rest of the cars, so today they have hidden something until qualifying or Ferrari has done a great job.
Improvement of Ferrari also can be remarked for the job made by drivers, Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso, towing themselves along the circuit, that’s something difficult they did last year, and it did not help much.
Immediately behind Fernando Alonso, we find Mark Webber, Lewis Hamilton, Sergio Perez, Daniel Ricciardo, Felipe Massa, Jenson Button, Pastor Maldonado and, closing the Top 10, Kimi Räikkönen.
Mercedes cars have not shined too much, due to mechanical problems in Rosberg’s car, but Lewis Hamilton has finished behind the Red Bulls and Fernando Alonso. Lotus seems to have made a step backwards, because they have not been in good positions in any time.
Today, at Monza paddock, the rumor was that Kimi Räikkönen has already signed with Ferrari for the next session, taking the place of Felipe Massa.
Finally, Di Resta has had an accident at the Parabolica, the last corner of the circuit.
