Mick Schumacher set the pole position during the German F4 qualifying in Nürburgring, Germany. The son of Michael Schumacher beat in the last moment the dominance of Joey Mawson. Mike Ortmann finished second.
The racing activity of today started with the ADAC Formel 4 qualifying separated in two groups.
In the first one we could have seen that the guys who made two stints and not one, achieved the fastest times. Mike David Ortmann (ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V.) was unbeatable in the last minutes and beat Niklas Nielsen (Neuhauser Racing) who showed a strong performance with second place.
Richard Verschoor (MotoPark), Red Bull junior driver is back this weekend in the series after his run in Orschersleben. The Dutch managed to finish third ahead of Juan Manuel Correa (Prema Powerteam) and Felipe Drugovich (Neuhauser Racing).
In the second group, with the experience from group one, the leaders made the strategy of two stints. Championship leader, Joey Mawson (Van Amersfoort Racing) dominated the whole session but with the checker flag on track, his opponent, Mick Schumacher (Prema Powerteam) managed to beat the VAR driver by 0.028 s.
Yesterday fastest in practice, Juri Vips from Prema Powerteam was third in the group after a great performance. The Estonian finished ahead of Thomas Praining (Lechner Racing), and Simo Laaksonen (Motopark).
