After Guanyu Zhou yesterday victory, the rookie Sacha Fenestraz had the pole and kept the first position at the start. From behind, Enaam Ahmed was second, but there was a little touch at the first turn that made him lose some positions, that situation made Fabio Scherer win the second position. Alex Palou was p3 after regaining the position that he had lost. Marcus Armstrong was the first from the Prema team in a fourth position.
After ten minutes, Artem Petrov and Devlin De Francesco crashed and ended at the wall, due to that situation the safety car had to come up. During the passage of the safety car Dan Ticktum lost his headrest.
After 22 minutes the race restarted, Scherer attacked Fenestraz with a manoeuvre that could end the race for both of them. At a half of the race, with 17 minutes ahead, a tiny rain started and some parts of the track had the flag that indicates that the track was slippery.
With only ten minutes left, Scherer tried to lead the race, but touched Fenestraz.The car of the Swiss driver was really damaged and he could not control his car at the next turn of the race and crashed against the wall. However, surprinsingly a safety car was not need it. Fenestraz had an easier situation, Palou and Armstrong completed the pódium, respectively.
The last moments of the race were calm and Fenestraz won at his fifth race in the category. Palou was second in an easy race in which he did not have to fight much against other drivers. Armstrong debuts at the podium in this category.The point zone is completed by Ben Hingeley, Ahmed, Jehan Daruvala, Julian Hanses, Ralf Aron, Robert Shwartzmann and Mick Schumacher.
Fenestraz, has 37 points and leads the general, Zhou that won yesterday, only could be p12 and is second in the championship with 25 points tied with Armstrong. Palou follows them with 24 points.The last race of the weekend is today at 15:25pm.
