For this seconde race weekend of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship at the 4,573km kilometers long Hockenheim Grand Prix circuit, nobody was faster than Felix Rosenqvist (PRema Powerteam). The Swede, who had already set the fastest time in first qualifying, was 0.239 seconds faster than Charles Leclerc (Van Amersfoort Racing). Maxime Gunther and Callum Ilott ended up third and fourth ans will be starting from the second row on the grid fro the second race at Hockenheim.
The session was delayed 5 minutes due to track conditions, rain and light wind. Mikkel Jensen was first on track with Gunther and Beretta. The reference time was signed by Jensen, 1:53.831.
Felix start strong, he take quickly the first time on front to Leclerc.
After 10 minutes, Lorandi take the dead with Rosenqvist and Gunther. Felix Rosenqvist was the first under 1min50 (1:49.630) with one seconde ahead of Leclerc.
The session was interrupted by a red flag caused by Russel on the third sector.
Felix closed this session with the best time again.
