Rosberg incredibly faster than the rest in FP3

Mercedes AMG’s German driver Nico Rosberg has been the fastest driver of the third and last free practice of the Australian GP of Formula One, in Albert Park, located in Melbourne. The Stuttgart team is the better of the table, and joint with McLaren they seem to be the ones who will fight for the pole position.

The third practice session began with the black sky covering the Albert Park circuit. But the first problems appeared for Esteban Gutiérrez (Sauber F1 Team). The Mexican driver suffered problems with the gearbox, staying stopped at turn 10. A few minutes later, on the same curve Kevin Magnussen (McLaren Mercedes) wins a runway and teammate Jenson Button a spin, but the on-track activity has not stopped; after that the Toro Rosso of Daniil Kvyat started dominating the first fifteen minutes of the session.
But Mercedes stood quickly in front with a 1:31.583 by Nico Rosberg. Parallel runway excursions continued, Pastor Maldonado (Lotus), who yesterday couldn’t do many laps, suffered an off at turn 12. This would not be the worst thing in the Enstone team because shortly after Romain Grosjean had to pit stop due to a problem with his Renault engine.
Marcus Ericsson (Caterham) and Sergio Perez (Force India) have been off the track, both drivers at the same point, turn 13, when it reached the middle of the session with Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes ) in front of everyone with a time of 1:30.919.
The last 20 minutes the teams have begun testing for the qualifying session. A situation has jeopardized Felipe Massa’s car (Williams Martini) who almost lost control of the vehicle, while using the softer tyres.
With the softer tyres and downloaded cars, Raikkonen, Magnussen, Button and Hamilton have been off track in turns 9 and 10. Rosberg passed dramatically Hamilton’s time, winning the best time in the session.
