The session started with the track still wet, but not much. Quickly, most drivers and teams have come to track in order to recover the “lost time”. At first all went out on intermediate tyres, but the track began to dry rapidly as the cars rolled and soon we saw the dry tyres in action. When they had been 25 minutes on track, Felipe Massa, who rolled with experimental Pirelli tyres, had a spin off of the Stowe corner due to the difficult conditions of the track, and could not avoid hitting the protections, destroying the nose and front suspension, but luckily the impact has not been too violent.
At the end of the practice, we have seen several long runs and Red Bull has been very competitive, while Mercedes has made good times but not as fast as Fernando Alonso, but the Spaniard has had a lot of traffic and could not rolling steadily.
