René Rast has got the Pole Position in Hungary, in a circuit completely dominated by Audi, who has put all his drivers in the Top7. The first row will be completed by Jamie Green, and Ekström will start the race from the third position.
Rockenfeller was the first to leave the pits. In less than a minute, everyone was already on track. Auer was the first to score a laptime with a 1:39.769.
Mortara and Di Resta placed themselves quickly behind Auer, but the #22 lost the first position as Wickens scored a better time. When the first 5 minutes of the session have passed, Green moved to P1 with a time of 1:34.818, followed by Müller, Ekström, Duval and Farfus. Despite that, one minute later, Rockenfeller reached the Top5 and dropped Farfus to the 6th position.
At half point of the Qualy, all the drivers came into the pits to change tires and try to do another lap. So, with only 5 minutes to go, everybody came back to the track. At the moment, Green was leading the times ahead of Müller, Ekström, Duval, Rockenfeller, Farfus, Di Resta, Glock, Rast and Blomqvist, who were closing the Top10.
The session came to its end and Ekström improved to P2, but Rast moved to P1 as he recorded a time of 1:34.742. On the other hand, Wickens put himself in P10 but Blomqvist dropped him fast to the eleventh place.
Finally, Rast got the pole at the Hungaroring, with Green and Ekström behind him. Müller, Rockenfeller, Farfus, Duval, Auer, Paffett and Blomqvist completed the Top10.
