Red Bull GmbH has noted that the appeal made by its F1 team’s female employee against the result of the case against Christian Horner has been dismissed.

The F1 2024 season did not start of well for Red Bull’s Horner who was embroiled in a legal battle to prove himself clear of charges of misconduct by a female employee. While the investigation was on, there were leaks of the alleged text messages too.

After an independent investigation by a barrister, Horner was eventually cleared of any trouble as he continued his Red Bull team principal role. The employee, meanwhile, was suspended by the F1 team as she initiated an appeal in the court.

After several months from it, the case has been dismissed as Red Bull GmbH confirmed in a statement. They noted that the appeal was carried out by another independent barrister and after going through it, they feel the initial investigation was fair.

“Earlier this year a complaint raised against Christian Horner was investigated. The complaint was dealt with through the company’s grievance procedure by the appointment of an independent KC who dismissed the grievance,” a press statement from Red Bull read, with the case seemingly now closed.

“The complainant exercised the right to appeal, and the appeal was carried out by another independent KC. All stages of the appeal process have now been concluded, with the final outcome that the appeal is not being upheld.

“The KC’s conclusions have been accepted and adopted by Red Bull. The internal process has concluded. The company respects the privacy of all its employees and will not be making further public comment on this matter at this time. Red Bull is committed to continuing to meet the highest workplace standards.”
