Kimi Raikkonen concluded Barcelona testing with the lap record under the 1’19 laptime and confirms Ferrari’s pace before Melbourne.

Despite an incident in the end of the day, Kimi Raikkonen set this morning the best laptime of all testing in 1:18.634 with super-soft tyres. Ferrari concluded positive testing and announced themselves as serious victory contenders in Melbourne.

Max Verstappen placed the Red Bull in a more reassuring position after a complicated week. With seventy-one laps covered today, Verstappen completed a bitter-sweet week for the Milton Keynes based team although it is still difficult to evaluate Red Bull’s real speed.

Carlos Sainz Jr ended the last day with the third best time overall with ultra-soft tyres. Toro Rosso showed their limits with a little incident in the afternoon. Bottas and Hamilton followed with a Mercedes which should battle for the win in Melbourne.

Nico Hulkenberg ended the day with a 6th place with only Sergio Perez between him and his teammate Jolyon Palmer. Lance Stroll left the track with a solid day in terms of mileage before his first F1 race in two weeks.

Romain Grosjean completed the top 10 with the Haas ahead of Fernando Alonso who confirmed the ideological gap between McLaren and Honda with two breakdowns in the same day. Marcus Ericsson and Pascal Wehrlein completed the timesheets.
