Nicolas Prost had an easy race and dominate the whole race to take his first victory of the season. Bruno Senna finished second as Jean-Eric Vergne finished third. Di Grassi finished in front of Buemi and increased the gap to three points.
At the Start, Prost maintained the first place in front of Senna, Turvey and Frijns. Championship leader, Lucas Di Grassi went from tenth to ninth and Sébastien Buemi went from thirteen position to eleventh.
Then on lap 3, Buemi overtook Duval for 10th place and closed in on Lucas di Grassi who immediately reacted overtaking Nick Heidfeld for eight position. But yet again, Buemi followed the Brazilian overtaking the Mahindra.
One lap later, Daniel Abt let Lucas Di Grassi took the seventh position. Next driver to overtake was Sam Bird on sixth position but it wasn’t an easy one. The same problem had Buemi who couldn’t overtook Di Grassi’s team mate, Daniel Abt.
But on lap 12, Di Grassi overtook Bird for sixth position as Buemi got nervous behind Abt, who overtook Sam Bird. Buemi immediate did the same and finally overtook the German on lap 16.
On lap 17 the car change started with Senna, Turvey and Bird been the first to make his stop. One lap later stopped the drivers who didn’t stop.
With the car change, Frijns lost the fourth position with Vergne. The driver from Andretti Autosport the lost two more positions with Di Grassi and Buemi, dropping to seventh when the rain started to drop.
With 12 laps remaining, Frijns had Daniel Abt just behind. The German tried the move on the Dutch but they contact and crashed, which meant that safety car had to make his first appearance.
The safety car leaved the track with 9 laps remaining. Prost was leading the way in front of Senna, Turvey, Vergne, Di Grassi, Buemi and Da Costa who thanks to his energy saving driving made up to seventh after start on 14th.
The focus of the race was for fourth position. Vergne, as usual was very defensive and didn’t let any space to Lucas Di Grassi who damage the front wing and almost lose the position with Buemi.
Di Grassi with the front wing damaged managed to set the fastest lap and get the two points of this. But he was really on pressure from Buemi who was complaining all time of Di Grassi defensive driving.
The race was coming to the end and Oliver Turvey lost a great opportunity for NEXTEV TCR team to finish in podium positions. The McLaren reserve driver crashes into the wall and on that moment, Bird overtook Buemi for fifth position under yellow flags.
But Bird lost the position due to no energy power at the checkered flag.
So Nicolas Prost is got his second FIA Formula E win, his first this season. Bruno Senna finished second –his best result. Vergne was third, in front of Di Grassi –who set the fastest lap. Buemi was fifth and Da Costa sixth. Completes the top 10 Sam Bird on seventh, Heidfeld on eight, D’Ambrosio on ninth and Conway on tent place.
With one race to go, Di Grassi is leading the way by 3 points over Buemi. With Today’s victory, Nicolas Prost is up to third place with two points more than Sam Bird.
