PREMA retains Nakamura-Berta for 2025 Formula 4 season
PREMA Racing announces that Kean Nakamura-Berta will continue his tenure with the team to enter the 2025 Italian Formula 4 and E4 championships.
A Japanese-Slovakian national, Nakamura Berta is coming from a successful rookie season. After finishing as a runner-up in the F4 UAE Championship, he ended up sixth overall in the Italian series and third in Euro 4, where he won the rookie honours.
Nakamura-Berta amassed four wins and 14 podium finishes in total, emerging as one of the category’s most promising prospects. Coming from a very successful karting background, with one CIK-FIA World Championship title in OKJ and a European Championship title in OK, the 17-year-old racer is looking to capitalize on his solid 2024 progress.
While his main programme will be focused on the Italian and European campaigns, additional outings for him will be announced at a later date.
Angelo Rosin – Team Founder
“Kean was very impressive this season and we knew his value since he was racing in our karting team. He was immediately a contender for overall wins in single-seaters, and the experience he put under his belt this year made him stronger and more consistent, which is a key aspect in motorsports and Formula 4 in particular. We look to him as a leading contender for 2025.”

“I’m excited for another year, for sure going into the new year, doing a second year in F4 I know what I’m aiming for this time, we’re not finishing 2nd or aiming for anything but lower than 1st it’s the aim. Just try to win everything. We will have the most experience and there are no excuses, I’ll have to do my job and win as many races as possible. Of course I’m happy to be racing with PREMA again, it’s an amazing team, it’s always fun, I’ll make some new memories. Can’t wait to start the season.”
