Pole Position for Dennis

Jake Dennis still unbeatable, he takes the pole for the first qualifying session of Pau with the best time in 1:21.795, Jack will be on pole for the seventh race of the FIA F3 European Championship season.

Charles Leclerc will start from second place thanks his time (1:22.845) in front of Maximilian Gunhter and Giovinazzi. Due the short track (only 2.76 kilometers) and the numbers of the driver, the stewards decided to split the session in two groups.
The first group jumped on the track with Leclerc, Rosenqvist, Giovinazzi… for the first part of the qualifying session. First on track, Giovinazzi takes the first position with Leclerc and Rosenqvist.
The rain caused a brief interruption of the session just after the Leclerc’s best time(1:27.678). After the green flag, nobody was able to improve the time of the Van Amersfoort Racing driver.
The Monegasque was more and more faster and presevs his first position followed by Antonio Giovinazzi. Alexander Albon and Mikkel Jensen.

A few minutes later, Group B was lucky, rain stopped and the track slowly dried. Jake Dennis, Alessio Lorandi and Maximilian Günther they are it competed for the first time. Dennis had the last word and takes the lead of the Group B and A.

Jake Dennis (Prema Powerteam): “Qualifying was very good. In my first attempt, I was held up by traffic, but it was still enough for second place while I knew that there was much more in store. After the red flags, I pushed it to the maximum once again and that was enough to claim pole position. Today, my car was really great, especially in the closing stages of qualifying.”
