Pole and win for Nyck De Vries on the first Saturday of the season

Nyck De Vries has maintained its pole position for the first race of the season at Motorland Aragon. Orudzhev stays in a second position disputed with Bonifacio in the final laps, completing the podium.

Nyck De Vries did it. He set the fastest lap during qualifying this morning and he did not move a single meter his Koiranen GP from the race lead during the race’s fourteen laps.

Egor Orudzhev remained really close to the first position in the early laps, he even seemed to get the lead, but De Vries escaped and he ended defending from Bonifacio, who almost takes the second place in the final laps.

Aurélien Panis, who started second, lost his position at the first corner, and after a touch he damaged the front wing of his ART, losing positions but finishing fifth, behind Alexander Albon KTR.

Andrea Pizzitola, after being penalised to exit from the last position, succesfully climbed to middle classification, but had to retire due to mechanical problems. Villemi, Rump and O’Keeffe complete the list of unclassified drivers.

Matt Perry standed out this race, despite debuting this race. Regardless breaking an aerodinamig appendix of his front wing he kept the seventh position, being the first of the rookies and scoring six points for the championship.

Tomorrow’s race appears exciting as today the top ten position belong to nine different cars.
