Circuit Zandvoort held a media day for local journalists to update on the re-construction plans ahead of the 2020 F1 Dutch GP.

FormulaRapida.net’s partner MsportXtra had his associates Charrel Jalving and Jeroen van Kesteren – creators of Trackside Legends – at Circuit Zandvoort to check out the re-construction plans ahead of the Dutch GP return in 2020.

The grand prix is slated for May 1-3 weekend and will host F2 and F3 races as well as support events. Circuit director Robert van Overdijk explained the progress made so far with the track re-construction and what is still to come.

Since there are a lot of modifications to be done, the expectation is for the work to be over by February 2020, so that the circuit can host other races before F1. One of the biggest change coming up in the 18-degree bank they are creating in the final corner.

Among other updates, the promoters expect 3,15,000 fans to be at Zandvoort for the weekend which will make it difficult in terms of mobility and also parking but they hope the fans will be taking utmost care as well and help each other during the weekend.

Few more details were shared regarding the entertainment programme being planned, after which the group were toured around the circuit in a shuttle bus, where they could take photos which can be found below.

A simulated onboard video from Dormo was released to showcase how the track will like:
