AlphaTauri is the fifth F1 outfit to present its 2022 livery – the AT03 – as it unveiled a revised livery to the 2021 car.

Entering the new week of launches, AlphaTauri kicked-off with its online presentation of the AT03 in a revised livery from last year. The corporate colour remains the same with white and a shade of dark blue, but is presented in a different form this year.

The blue is dominant at the front and sides with white in other spaces. The actual AT03 will make its debut at Barcelona. Like the Red Bull car, it sports the ‘HRC’ logo which stands for ‘Honda Racing Corporation’ as the four-wheel and two-wheel company merged into one.

The team terms it as a ‘first-of-its-kind launch’ by Red Bull’s fashion brand AlphaTauri where they have combined a 3D CGI rendering of the race car with real footage of the AlphaTauri Spring/Summer 2022 collection runway show.

They showcase Monolith in the CGI world which represents the team’s facility and technology whereby each element then move towards Portal. That second pillar signifies the dressing part with the drivers and models as the next part is World of AlphaTauri.

This final pillar showcases Style of New Era. “This year sees a huge change to the car as, due to the new regulations, the look and design is completely different, so the team has had to start from a clean sheet of paper,” said Pierre Gasly.

“We won’t know the true performance of the AT03 until we get it out on track at pre-season testing in Barcelona but so far, I think it looks great and I am very excited to get this new season started.”

His teammate Yuki Tsunoda noted: “It really does look great. Of course we’ve not seen the real car on track yet, but the new shape and design are really cool, and I think the livery suits it really well and I hope everyone enjoys the launch video.”

Team boss Franz Tost stated: “I am excited to finally reveal what our 2022 Formula 1 car will look like. It is a completely new era for F1 and we hope that this package will be very strong, following last year’s success. Once again, we have worked closely with AlphaTauri to launch our new car and I think we’ve managed to deliver something very special.”

Meanwhile, Ahmet Mercan, CEO AlphaTauri, added: “We are excited about new beginnings this season and have explored a lot of interesting opportunities to add style aspects to F1. For Scuderia AlphaTauri, it is a new era in Formula 1, and for AlphaTauri it is a new era in style.”
