Sergio Perez has shared a fun ‘no leaving’ post amid the crazy round of rumour of him announcing F1 retirement in Mexico GP.

The last few seasons for Perez has been marred with questions about being dropped by Red Bull, considering the lack of results. There was a decision to be taken in the summer break and it was re-affirmed that the Mexican will stay on for the 2024 F1 season.

After a difficult Singapore GP, a fresh round of rumour was pushed out which stated that Perez is due to announce his F1 retirement in his home event in Mexico GP in a month’s time. It cam via the same source as last year’s, which stated the same for the 2023 event.

With an unofficial break between the races in Singapore and USA, Perez has taken up to social media to react to the latest set of rumour. He has used up a movie scene from ‘The Wolf of Wall Street, where its lead character throws in a ‘I am not leaving’ message.

The context in the movie is that the lead character’s frauds is forcing him to leave his company, but to his colleagues and peers, he announces that he is not leaving. And Perez has used that moment with a ‘sorry’ caption and laughing emojis.

Nothing more has been said, but it is clearly towards the rumour about him leaving F1. While things aren’t to change most likely for 2024, but things are up in the air still for 2025. Red Bull recently dropped Daniel Ricciardo from Visa Cash App RB.

Liam Lawson is to make his F1 return in US GP and will see-through the 2024 season with Visa Cash App RB. Even though Perez has a contract for 2025, things could still change if Red Bull deem it so, as they are likely to lose the constructors’ title.
