Campos Racing is pleased to announce new driver line up for 2016 GP3 season where the Alzira-based team will have a three-car roster. Alex Palou, Konstantin Tereschenko and Steijn Schothorst will compete in GP3 Series with Campos Racing-entered Dallara GP3/11 cars and it will be a mixed roster of familiar faces and newcomers to the program.
Palou (Barcelona, April 1, 1997) made his debut in the series with Campos Racing last year following his 3rd place in the F.3 Euroformula Open. Young Spanish driver performed extremely well in qualifying on debut as he qualified in the top-five almost ever over the course of the season and won the season finale in Abu Dhabi. Tereschenko (Moscow, June 17, 1994) was close to perfection in 2015, as Russian racer claimed Spanish Formula 3 championship and clinched the vice-champion spot in the Euroformula Open. Besides, he entered the final two meetings of the GP3 season in the GP3 Series. Dutch talented newcomer Schothorst (October 14, 1994) will make its first appearance in the GP3 Series with Campos Racing. His achievements include 2nd place in the 2015 Renault Sport Trophy, 2nd at Zandvoort Masters in 2014 and 4th-placed in the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC that same year.
Preseason testing will kick off at Estoril (22-24 March) and then visiting Valencia (7-8 April) and Barcelona (20-21 April).
