Jolyon Palmer has been the fastest in today’s qualifying session of the GP2 series. The winner of the pole is awarded 4 points for the overall standings of the season. He has been followed by Vandoorne, one of the ART team rookies for just 30 thousandths, and Abt from Hilmer Motorsport. A session with minimal differences where the first 18 drivers are in just one second, under the lights of the Bahrain circuit.
A session very difficult where it was hard to find a place to do the best lap, the best times had been made in the last moments of the qualifying and a lot of drivers were stuck on traffic and couldn’t do better. A red flag following a Markelov’s spin and an accident with a possible sanction between Nasr and Cecotto were the highlights.
