Palmer achieve the Pole in Hockenheim

Jolyon Palmer has taken pole position for the German Grand Prix GP2 after dominating from start to finish qualifying session held this afternoon at Hockenheim. After the British ended Stoffel Vandoorne, Stefano Coletti, incredible Tom Dillmann and Felipe Nasr, who has completed the Top5.

It all started with a first round that ended with Palmer in first position followed by Coletti and Nasr. Vandoorne and surprising privisional Rossi completed the Top 5, while the most notable impact has been to Marciello when it has been about to engulf Haryanto, rolling at very low speed.

After five minutes with head in silence, with just ten minutes have begun to skip the first pilot to complete the second ‘sting’ laps. This time no one could improve the lap of Palmer and Britain became an easy Pole in Hockenheim. Behind him overtake Vandoorne tried but without success since the time two tenths off the pace remained.

Behind Marciello problems again and this time was completely blocked Izawa who will pass and the Italian ran out of options to enhance your time, which caused him to fall octaba position. Ahead of him we found a surprising fourth Dillmann, making a big return to GP2, followed by Nasr, Pic and Cecotto. Sergio Canamassas meanwhile has only podium be the 24th, and will start from the penultimate row of the grid.

This afternoon we will be attentive to the decisions of the commissioners may impose any penalty for the constant crashes that have been on the track, as traffic has been the key to success in this session. Tomorrow afternoon, after qualifying for the first Formula 1 race weekend will be held in Germany.
