This sesion has been a good moment for setup for the best possible start on the grid. Recall the pole is not critical for this circuit but a good position in the top ten is enough to be a candidate to victory, after what is seen in previous years.
Takuma Sato is back to show very fast and comfortable and the favorite for the pole with his motor by Honda, half of the session he was already in the first positions with Castroneves (which he was very comfortable in this circuit the past) Pagenaud and Aleshin. A session without any problem or crash without any pause.
At the end of the session times were improving step by step where Dixon and Reay made first time in the first positions this year, where the final ranking of the top 10 has been this way and where 20 drivers are in same second Briscoe, Castroneves, Sato, Bourdais, Power, Pagenaud, Hinchcliffe, Kanaan, Dixon, Hawsworth.
It will be seen that drivers can make with qualifying tires at the next sesion
