Orudzhev breaks the Arden’s drought

Egor Orudzhev takes his first victory in World Series by Renault. In a physically race, the Russian defended very well from the attacks of Rowland who finished third. Merhi achieves his first podium of the season on second place.


Rowland did a bad start and had to comeback from third place. And he did but, not at all. He overtook Vaxivière at first lap to take the second place and put his championship rival down to fourth place behind Latifi.

Nicholas Latifi didn’t get the room that “Vaxou” need to overtake and they contact. Vaxivière continued competing and cuts de gap with the leader of the race, Egor Orudzhev. Latifi abandoned the race.

Rookie driver from Arden, Orudzhev was in a class of his own in order to defend the first place until the end under the attacks of Rowland. The Briton tried to overtake the Russian at last turn on last lap but he went off and lost the second place. This benefit Merhi to achieves his first podium of the season.
