Lando Norris has taken the pole position for FIA Formula 3 European championship race 2 at Pau, France. The rookie was unbeatable in his group and will start in front of Günther and Ilott.
A really hot conditions comparing to yesterday’s qualifying. After race 1, the qualifying groups were updated following the drivers’ standings.
In the first group an impressive McLaren junior driver, Lando Norris (Carlin) set the fastest time with 1:09.085 been half a second quicker than Callum Ilott (Prema Powerteam).
The lap time of Norris was enough to take the pole position from Maximilian Günther (Prema Powerteam) who was the fastest in second group with a lap time of 1:09.435.
