The French driver joins the Spanish team Racing Engineering for a second season in GP2 Series.
Norman Nato started his racing carreer in the different categories of WSR. In 2012, he was runner-up in ALPS and forth in Eurocup in Formula Renault 2.0. In 2014, he is champion Carlos Sainz jr’s teammate with DAMS and ends up 7th of the championship.
His results allow him to join GP2 Series in 2015 with Arden International and despite an impressive crash he caused during his first race, he showed some good strong results compared to his teammate Andre Negrao, especially in Hungary where he scored his best finish in 6th.
In 2016 he joins Racing Engineering, the team which Alexander Rossi ended runner-up with in 2015.
“I am really pleased to join Racing Engineering this season for the GP2 Series championship. It is a very experienced team that has already won the GP2 championship twice.
After a first season to discover and learn about the GP2 series in 2015, my aim is now to be a front runner in every race meeting in order to fight for the title.”
Alfonso de Orleans-Borbon comments his choice of driver:
“We are very pleased to announce that Norman Nato has joined us for the 2016 season. After seeing the progression he made during last season, it was discussed that he would be ready to join our team.”
Norman Nato joins Jordan King who continues his GP2 journey with the team he started with.
