Rain prevented the hold of the qualifying session of GP3 in Monza.
If track action on Friday happened in dry conditions, it started pouring rain in the evening and it did not stop doing so during the night. As a storm hit the track on Saturday morning, the qualifying session of GP3 Series got cancelled for the first time in the series.
The grid for the first race is decided by the results in free-practice session. Therefore, Nirei Fukuzumi inherits pole position leading an ART Grand Prix 1-2-3-4. Indeed, championship leader George Russell will start 2nd ahead of Anthoine Hubert and Jack Aitken.
Dorian Boccolacci (Trident), Steijn Schothorst (Arden), Leonardo Pulcini (Arden), Arjun Maini (Jenzer), Alessio Lorandi (Jenzer) and Daniel Ticktum (DAMS) complete the top 10 on the starting grid.
